They say “laughter is the best medicine”… well roll off the couch and head down to The Impy for a new night of comedy in Sydney, presented by Comedy On Edge and Young Henrys. From the 11th February, on the 2nd Thursday of every month your favourite rainbow watering hole will transform its Basement space into a dungeon of LOP (laugh out proud) moments.
This monthly event will platform a rotating line up of local, national and international comedians who are ready to shake the walls with your cackles. A brilliant night of live entertainment and stand up comedy, in a Covid-safe environment
One of Sydney’s rising comedy stars, Jake Howie is a Kiwi comedian who got his start on the vibrant London comedy scene winning the Reading Comedy Festival New Act of the Year in 2015 and placing as a finalist in the prestigious NATYS New Variety Lives Awards in 2018.
Donut mogul, chef, fashion icon and comedian, Frida DeGuise is the quintessential Australian comedian; in a scarf…. A self-proclaimed ‘Wogan’ (part ‘wog’ – part bogan), this 5ft _? Australian-born, Lebanese Muslim makes up in heart what she lacks in height.
A 2019 RAW COMEDY finalist and armed with her faithful ukulele, Stephanie is known for her catchy melodies and painfully honest lyrics. Never short of an opinion, Steph will have you laughing out loud at things you didn’t think you would laugh at while always managing to be the butt of every joke.
Known for her heartfelt and emotive storytelling, her incisive wit, and brutal deconstructions of the status quo, there is no other voice like Cassie Workman’s in comedy today. Widely celebrated for her work as a trans comedian on both the stage and on TV, Cassie is a talent and a force to be reckoned with.
