TAFFEE

Artistic Residency Initiative & Knowledge Exchange

Reinvigorated and interconnected The Imperial farewells and gives thanks our wonderful August artist Andy Dexterity . This October we have the pleasure to introduce Josie Baker continuing our performance initiative ‘TAFFEE’ ideas to chew on! where the Basement is transformed into a progressive cultural epi-centre of live works, seminars and workshops. Finally an initiative that supports local artists, putting queer performance at the forefront in an accessible and affordable structure.

With TAFFEE, a rotating roster of Sydney’s innovative and multifaceted resident performance artists will be given a month each to create an original work, curate (performances from other artists that have inspired their work) and communicate (through a series of informative seminars & workshops) their stories and experiences within the industry.

The resident artists each month will be the enablers of a program that transforms art development, whilst engaging the wider queer and artistic community.
