COVID-19 Update – June 25 2021

Hello lovers, welcome to 2021. We’d like to send you a big (COVID-safe) virtual kiss in thanks for supporting us over these very challenging months. Providing a space for our local and wider LGBTQI+ community to thrive and connect is our purpose, and despite the changing landscape we now operate our business under, it is with the great privilege we are able to continue doing what we love.

In the current climate, we ask patrons and staff alike to respect the current restrictions outlined by the NSW Government. That means things are a little different to how The Impy can operate, so here is what you can expect and a guideline for all patrons:

a) From 4 pm on June 23rd patrons will need to wear a face mask when not eating on drinking. Patrons are also required to remain seated at all times with dancing or vertical drinking not permitted. We will also be moving to a one-person per four square metres format with reduced seating.

b) When entering the venue, all patrons will need to sign in.

c) If you have been in close contact with a recent known case, or have cold/flu like symptoms – we request you skip this disco, get tested and join us another time. We love you, but also we need to put the health and safety of our community first. There will always be another party!

d) Wherever possible and whatever the occasion, reservations are preferred – this helps the team prepare for your visit and ensure that sufficient space for your group is reserved. We require all patrons who enter our venue to register upon arrival. Hand sanitiser stations are positioned around every level for regular use throughout your visit.

e) Imperial UP also has specific sitting times to ensure we can safely accommodate as many of you as possible. If you would like to stay on after your allocated time, we will do our very best to be flexible, so please have a chat with the host on arrival.

Reservation Terms & Conditions

By making a reservation you agree and acknowledge as follows;

  • Your booking numbers do not exceed 30 guests including any babies and children, you have not made any arrangements with other known bookings at this venue during your booking time
  • You agree to acknowledge that yourself along with any of your guests are not displaying cold like symptoms, have been in contact with any known COVID cases and have not returned from overseas in the past 14 days
  • Please arrive 15mins prior to your booking time for all guests to check in
  • All adult guests will be required to check in upon entry to comply with the current Government Legislation. Name in full along with a current phone or email contact is required. Details will be retained for 28 days.
  • Please respect all bookings have a strict 2hr sitting time
  • All minors are to be accompanied by a legal guardian and are included in your table booking head count
  • Please note no table allocations are guaranteed
  • The Imperial Erskineville is committed to the safety of all patrons and staff and is a registered COVID safe business
  • All guests must remain seated for the booking duration
  • All guests within your party must be present before you are seated
  • Please note payment in full is required at the time of booking, all payments are non-refundable
